Happy Monday! How was your weekend? I did absolutely nothing Saturday but lay on the couch and binge-watch Ginny & Georgia…so good! Sunday I got up, got dressed and headed to South Coast Plaza for a day of shopping with my old roommate Bri. It felt so good to have a reason to put together an outfit and do my hair. It was insanely hot for a spring day and the mall was packed. Every store had an insane line. I didn’t buy a single thing (yay me!!) but Brian works at The Real Real and gifted me a vintage Ralph Lauren houndstooth crossbody bag that I LOVE and will show you in another post.
MY CURRENT FAVES FOR 3.29.21
ONE// Ranunculus at Trader Joes
Ranunculus are in season and available at Trader Joe’s, which means Peonies are up next (two of my favorite flowers)! And these beauties are only $3.99 at TJ’s which is the best price in the universe. I made the most impressive bouquet of my life this week. I’ve never actually tried to make a floral arrangement before but felt inspired and bought a few different flowers in contrasting colors, put them together, and instantly I was living in a Vogue-worthy apartment (see photo above…I did that). Me and my flowers. Living our best life. Please for the love of all things holy buy yourself some flowers and put them in your home and make yourself happy. It works!
TWO// Invisible Girl
I don’t know how I first found Lisa Jewell novels but I am hooked. I spent the week listening to Invisible Girl while on my morning walks and found it to be an enjoyable read and honestly nowhere near as dark as a lot of her other novels but still twisted. If you like thrillers and mysteries give this one a go for sure! I love listening to audiobooks read in an English accent so that’s a bonus.
THREE// Weleda Cellulite Body Oil
I adore this brand. Every single one of their oils is divine. They’re all-natural and organic. This one has a little bit of a minty scent to it but damn it really works to smooth out my lumps and bumps. I’ve always had cellulite, even as a teen! It doesn’t bother me like it did before but with summer coming I figured I’d show my thighs some extra love and give this body oil a go. If you saw last week’s faves you know I love a good body oil over lotion. With this one, I just rub on a bit after I get out of the shower or sometimes before bed. It’s made a HUGE difference in the past month alone.
FOUR// Nap Dress Alternative For Under $35
I think the real deal Nap Dress looks like it’s worth every penny but not everyone wants to spend $125 on a cotton dress. Plus they are consistently sold out of the Ellie in Emerald Trellis which is my personal pick. I found this dupe on Amazon and would say the classic white would be my pick as far as color goes. I love that it can be worn on or off-shoulder. I’d style the white one with a straw shoulder bag, tortoise sunnies, and some espadrilles… just seems like the perfect cool and classic look for a spring day.
FIVE// Erewhon Silverlake
They opened an Erewhon on my side of town and I’m soooo happy! Yes, it’s the most expensive grocery store in L.A.(I found lemon water for $8.39) but the specialty food selection is out of this world. Low carb, sugar-free, vegan, raw any and everything you can think of…and it all tastes amazing! If you come to L.A. it’s worth a visit. I go for a splurge once in a while and love the kelp noodle pad thai and the keto shirataki pork noodles. But yea you will throw down some beaucoup bucks whether you visit the tonic bar or the juicery. I love food halls and specialty grocery stores but as my friend said she doesn’t want to shop anywhere that she has to put a down payment on a head of broccoli.
